Currently in the market and a lot of new listings have been hitting the market recently. Wouldn’t mind seeing this happen in Birmingham to see prices drop a tad.

You can find anything you want on the internet to support any opinion.

what’s your point?

are you suggesting that illegal immigrants that you could find something on the internet that refutes the fact that tax contributions and other contributions from illegal immigrants offsets the total cost of illegal
immigration on the taxpayers? (i doubt it. and so do you)

i would happily review the data. otherwise, shut the frick up and stop supporting illegal immigration.

Many people would rather lose everything than admit "their side" in the game of politics, of which they have absolutely ZERO control over, is doing something which doesn't make sense or is blatantly harmful to the economy.

This is why they hate centrists on this board, be it center-left to center-right. Everything is EXTREME these days. It's like our fricking political system went from a pretty mundane bureaucracy keeping the country and economy in good shape and turned into some spastic fricking 7yo boy who drank 2 Monster energy drinks and thinks he knows everything.

Pragmatism? Gone.
Common Sense? Gone.
Feelings? Way too important.

I mean, ffs, have you visited PT lately? I went over there last night just for shits and grins. I mean, you'd think all those posters live in fricking Moscow. Moscow. Putin. A murderous tyrant who has fricked with us since the day he took office. And they fricking love him! I mean, what're we doing folks? This isn't some TV show where you hope for crazy shite to happen to watch the plot thicken. This is real life. Our kids' futures. Our jobs. Our quality of life. Our rights. Our pocketbooks.

frick the woke arse left and frick the dumb MAGA morons. I'm seriously confused how all of it has gone to shite so quickly...the infighting in this country is poison, driven my algorithms designed to make money by keeping your rage and attention addicted to the "game". Step away, please. If you're in this trap, you're truly fricking yourself and your country over.

This is a correction in the market. Youre trying to politicize things that you might now want to, if you examine them closer.

I bought mine in 2020, moving to another state so will sell. Not in a big hurry to buy but could depend on what I get from current home. Neighbor put his on the market close to month ago and no “under contract” sign yet. If I can’t sell it for what I want thought about renting or Air BnB type of deal but I’d rather not deal with the hassle.

The market is certainly due for a correction and, you're right, it's always been cyclical.

My feeling is what we're seeing is going to extend FAR beyond the stock market. An economy cannot function in an environment like we find ourselves in right now. Tariffs. Unemployment. Tattered bureaucracy (there's value in a bureaucracy, though ours was certainly bloated (requires a scalpel, not a bazooka)). And with the infighting amongst us, no one in a position of power wants to step outside their tents to brave the storm with free thought and pragmatism.

You're not a dumb dude, Roger (regardless of how much shite we've exchanged over the years). I think you know we are NOT in a good spot at the moment.

Yes, I've constantly posted about the upper middle getting fricked by both parties.

I've bitched about MAGA to no end because Trump is a fricking idiot.

I've bitched about the stupid trans shite that has nothing to do with anything yet somehow becomes top news.

Reagan would be considered far left in MAGA eyes so your opinion of my being centrist really is meaningless.

Covid cash put money in the hands of the idle who used it to buy investment properties, and now the market is bloated.

The only politics involved is the manipulating of the economy with "free money" which fricked us over big time.

I don't think money distributed 4 years ago is the problem now. I don't think it has shite to do with tariffs. Doesn't have shite to do with China playing unannounced war games in the south china sea this week. Doesn't have shite to do with firing our regulators and IGs. I think you know better. But I get it, you too are afraid to step outside your tent for fear of ridicule.

We are likely in a recession and don't know it. Many layoffs out there also.

Ahhh.

I was speaking to the larger economic environment. On home prices, yes, I agree with you that COVID stimulus is still playing a part. There's no way I'd leave my home now with interest rates where they're at.
