Good luck in life bro. Gave you every bit of info you need and you still grasp to talking points and blaming the liberals.

One of the greatest examples of supply and demand and you are missing out.

Screw the prices, as a citizen in Louisiana I don't mind paying high prices for gas if that means jobs are on demand.
With trump we were energy independent and Biden fricked that up with the quickness. That's a big deal.

Energy independence is the most ridiculous thing to chase when virtually every company trades on a global market and we export our crude.

good luck continuing to live with your delusion

I'm in my 60's and have had a very good life. I have prospered very well from supply and demand.

unfortunately the life of most people in this country will be a lot less enjoyable and profitable because of "elected" leaders supported by blind fools like yourself

You boomers are the reason the younger generations are worse off. You took the great nation your parents built, milked it for all it was worth, and now you're blaming the ones who have to pick up the pieces of your mess.

That has nothing to do with being independent. We shouldn't have to buy one ounce of oil from anyone.

The US has never been energy independent.

Because the world was shut down for 6 months or so.

Gas prices in at least 10 states was averaging less than $2 a gallon a year before Covid was released. Covid wasn't even a thought. I don't remember any supply chain issues then either.

I'd like to go back to that.

Biden ain't great, but if you're willing to trade another lockdown to be able to fill up for less than 50 dollars, then good for you!

You are a certified idiot.

It’s more difficult and expensive to live under Biden than it was trump.

This isn’t debatable. Biden has made food, milk, eggs, gas, everything more expensive in two years faster than I’ve ever seen a sitting President do it.

Biden is the worst President in modern history.

You should read up on some economic theory. It's not as simple as just blaming the guy you don't like for bad things.

if I read that, you should read up on not being disingenuous. maybe it is unfair to place the entirety of the blame on one fool's feet, but he's been in office for 2 years (minus 4 days). What has he or his administration successfully done to ease inflation on the average American? Can you honestly say that inflation is a top 5 priority for this administration?

I'll wait.

Pretty much the jist of what a lot of us are saying.

No one has said Biden is doing a good job when it comes to O&G. Just keeping perspective that a lot of what has happened the last year is outside the influence.

that's putting it mildly to say the very least.

him and his administration have been very very clear from the campaign on how willing they are to work with the US O&G majors. He's blamed them publicly, used their profits as a weapon against them, called them unpatriotic, put in place dozens of policies/regulations or removed pro-industry policies that have at minimum been obstacles for the industry while refusing to even meet with their CEO's at every turn.

i'm not going to allow you to minimize his administration's impact just so we can agree. frick that.

For one thing, he didn't brow beat the Fed into keeping rates low. Trump and Biden both threw gas on the economic embers with their cash giveaways. But the roots for this inflation lie in the economic policies of Bush and Obama to recover from the Great Recession of '08. Money. Money, everywhere. And then suddenly, supply chain issues. Too much money chasing too few goods is the definition of inflation.

definitely not wrong.

still waiting tho. 2 years, is that not enough time to change/shift policy to ease inflation whether it's the short term or long?
