I believe I read a few years ago that 5-10 years into one's career, LSU grads out earn most on that list.

Regardless of what they claim, these ratings are driven by reputation more than solid data.

Some schools care enough to doctor their self reported Data to US NEWS.

While that could be true, how could they get reliable data to really know that? Do you think folks making crap wages after getting a degree are going to respond honestly to such a survey or even respond at all?

I spent 3 years at Tulane before finishing at LSU. Spent three times the money for the three years I was at Tulane

So you spent 3 years of Tulane tuition but your degree says LSU? Yeah......you did that wrong

I will never get the Tulane hype.

I remember going to a concrete canoe competition when Tulane still had a civil engineering program. They were the only school that had a canoe that sunk... and they didn't seem to care.

Yeah, once you get a job and show people you are a good worker, it doesn’t matter much after that.

THat is so they can soak taxpayers for more and more. Most of that money ends up coming from taxpayers.

I'm at MIT right now for a full time MBA. People obsess over those rankings here. I went to LSU undergrad, from Shreveport. The difference between your average LSU and MIT student is staggering in terms of organization and work ethic.

Also I'm still very conservative. I've been on tigerdroppings since 2011. It's really the only place I can get a taste of home again being in Cambridge.

Dont know but they did it and its probably more accurate than this survey that relies too much in opinions of academics who cannot possibly know much about more than a few schools. The study I referred to had LSU grads earning more 5-10 years into a career and mid career than all SEC except for Vanderbilt and Tx A&M.

UC Irvine, Santa Barbara, San Diego, and Davis all being ranked 30-39 is a joke and hurts the credibility of the entire list.

Um, those are all fantastic schools, especially UC San Diego.

No doubt! It's just comical. You'd think that amount of tuition would be able to offer a better opportunity than 103/133 Regional Universities South.

Michelle Obama graduated from Princeton so that should tell you all you need to know.
