This is a continuation from the Biden administration, but still good news.

Industry as a whole in regards to landwork? There is some leasing going on from maybe older leases that expired due to maybe not upholding continuous drilling clauses and some other window areas. Maybe some benches that have pughed out?

But for the most part, your prime Permian acreage is under leasehold. There’s still definitely curative items, drillsite abstract and title opinions, surface/access negotiations and agreement work.

Seems to be a ton of M&A activity still.

Water is a big and still growing game. A Landman who can understand both disposal and recycle infrastructure systems throughout the oilfield can find himself/herself pretty busy.

Understanding regulatory issues, even as a Landman, can come in handy to and helps ensure steady work. If you know how to work with Texas Railroad Commission, BLM, New Mexico State Land Office and NMOCD, you can be even more valuable.

The lease you mentioned above is expired?
yes. expired about 8 years ago.

didin't get anything like that. i think it was a pretty standard $4250/acre and 3/16 royalties (well was never drilled)
