It’s probably just a coincidence this news is breaking on the heels of the South China Sea incident.

The Justice Department said that in April 2020 he sent a package to a foreign government containing restricted data and a message suggesting a covert relationship, so that they could buy more data from him.

He then allegedly began writing to an individual by encrypted email. While he thought this person represented the foreign government, they were actually an FBI agent, the affidavit said.

Another article said an FBI agent stationed at the US embassy received the package. Which raises the question did we intercept the mail or did this country turn it over to us? If so, why? Possible answer: France vis a vis the submarine kerfuffle with Australia. They may be mad at us, but not that mad .

FBI internal leaks

“ In one stand-out case, an employee was sacked for unprofessional conduct after he was found to have bugged his boss's office. The report said the employee hid a recording device in the office and searched through his supervisor's paperwork.”

That’s the Kind of FBI guys we probably need more of..

FBI arranged a signal to be posted from the target nation's embassy when the spies were in DC for Memorial Day weekend another indicator the target nation may have been cooperative in the investigation.

After several months, the accused couple allegedly made a deal to share secret information in exchange for around $100,000 (£73,000) in cryptocurrency.

This should have tipped them off right here. Foreign governments promise a lot to domestic spies but pay very little. That way they can continue to pump you for more while holding blackmail over you if you decide to back out.

Still...treason is treason and I hope these two idiots go to prison for a very long time.
