So making the kids suffer for having shitty parents is the solution to having fewer shitty parents? Seems like they'd be more likely to grow up to be shitty parents themselves.

I don't believe you're thinking this through.

I can’t speak for where you are but it’d be virtually impossible to do that here in Louisville. The schools and local infrastructure couldn’t handle that many car riders. And there’s not enough schools across the county for every kid to be within walking distance of a school.

When we had a big spike in car riders during the earlier COVID days we ended up having to stagger start times to accommodate and we still had a ton of kids riding buses.

Free education. Free breakfast and lunch. Parents should drop off and pickup their kids, and taxpayers would save millions of dollars.

This same guy would be complaining when his staff/coworkers can’t be on the clock at specific hours due to child drop off/pick up

Why to this day do we still have busing of students?

Because otherwise all you Karens block up the streets waiting to pick up little Jaxom. You do it anyway.

Yeah, then there would be federal drop off/pick up your kid subsidies to the people who qualify for

Free breakfast and lunch.

Because half our population still won't work and provide for their families and stay off drugs.

If they're working that might be the reason they can't transport their kids to and from school

Nearly every bus driver has a second job because of the poor pay.

They have a second job because it is quite literally a part time job. 3 hours a day 35 weeks per year. And for that they get access to teacher's insurance.

Half of them around here are realtors who just don't want to buy their own health insurance.

Oh by the way, most kids are on a bus an avg of 4 hours a day.

Well, that's an outright lie.

Another outright lie.

Are you a troll, or just unintelligent?

Because if I have to sit in the drop off line every morning, I’m going to be late every day and lose my job. Then there will be one less taxpayer paying for all this “free” stuff.
I feel like Covid changed the workforce game. Companies can’t get warm bodies much less competent workers. A lot of bending to employees needs vs the company. So much less stigma about missing work. I wonder when it will correct back to pre Covid or is this the brave new world.

You think carpools are bad now? I couldnt imagine no busses and 500 plus cars lined up at some schools twice daily...before and after school.

This! I'm trying to imagine what it would look like at the elementary my kids went to in Cypress with 900 other kids! That in itself is reason enough for buses.
