Twitter is accepting new appeals and starting to lift bans on some accounts.

Jeremy Griggs, AKA DDayCobra and the founder of Geeks+Gamers, was unbanned from twitter after having his account suspended by a frivolous DMCA takedown by Sony/Naughty Dog for a tweet showing a Scott Steiner/Last of Us Part 2 meme two years ago.

Edit: Looks like his colleague Drunk3P0 was also unbanned today after being banned last year.

Why is it not better? Musk is actively promoting free speech on his newly acquired platform.

Do you have an issue with free speech?

I was already asked to confirm I am not a bot 10 to 12 times before it started to ask me to input phone number to confirm and will not go further.

After letting me get back on the first few successful not a bot verifications it went started going to errors even though it first gave me success message before saying error and kept forcing me straight back into having to pick the incorrect shadow 15 of 15 times over and over (and congratulated me on not being a bot) before popping up asking me for phone number (Head, scale, tree, snowman, apple or other fruit, French fries, over and over). Now it just opens with this message about entering phone number to get it confirmed without giving me a way out. Never sent an email explaining or anything.

It was a new account created today. It’s probably getting a lot of new users, but trying a couple of time over next several hours later I am wondering if some employees are trying to push the bot thing with new accounts that they would normally suspend especially since Musk kept mentioning Twitter’s bot problem. If you don’t want to enter a phone number (and not even sure that will “fix” it) you basically can’t do anything including contact support. I read through support and did nothing close to be suspected as a bot.

I can delete and redo later, but I just wanted to check today’s melt and maybe set up checking some news and sports info like I did in the past with Twitter and with every other similar service.

I believe WF's comments were well put...
if you think this means I have something against free speech then you do not have the reading comprehension I thought you did...

I don’t see a big deal.
I never tweeted and I am fine without it.

Hopefully, free speech will come back to Twitter.

If people do not like Twitter then go elsewhere.
