Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón is set to announce his decision Thursday about whether to allow Erik and Lyle Menendez to be resentenced after serving more than 30 years in prison.
The decision comes after Gascón revealed earlier this month that his office was giving their 1989 murder case a fresh look in light of newly discovered evidence indicating the boys had been sexually abused.
Gascón will announce his decision at a press conference later Thursday afternoon.

My guess is Gascon, who doesn't follow the law anyway, will grant them a new sentencing hearing.

they claimed abuse as a Hail Mary defense, none was ever proved and, iirc, the judge wouldn't allow it to be brought up in court because there was no evidence
