This thread is a classic case of over analysis with litle information to analyze. I think people take ridiculous takes just to entertain themselves.
We have an entire Coaching Changes board for this

Not just suggested, but some people convinced themselves that he was there. Not just here, but other places on the interwebs as well.

Brian still have a fan base here?

It should be obvious to most, especially you that:
- he shot himself
-slug entering brain caused a temporary muscle contraction
-pistol stayed in his hand as it lay on the ground
-rigor set in, keeping the pistol there
-gator comes along and tears his arm off, pistol still there in hand.
-pistol leaves area.
What’s obvious to me is how the Carlton Reserve was dry when the Laundries went camping..then supposedly floods so deep as to not only usher in a well timed man-eating gator but deep enough to completely submerge a corpse..in just a matter of days..
then were told the normally dry and accessible Reserve stayed deeply flooded even WEEKS Later preventing their 4 wheelers, airboats cadaver dogs yada yada from “going to that area”.
LINK
The following is from CarltonReserve.com website it describes the Problem Areas during their seasonal INUNDATION with occasional flooded path and roads..it’s literally inches of water over the vast majority of the site if at all. NO WHERE are alligators even mentioned. It’ discusses “mowing issues” where water is “flooding the road”. This is not alligator terrority per say in the least fricking bit/
-Problem Areas and Changes-
“Rocky Ford Trail. Use the cutover at 54 through the Homestead Campsite at 55 to access Rocky Ford. Trail may be flooded seasonally west of new pumping station between 12 and 53. 57 to 56 is no longer mowed or maintained.
Vicker’s Head Trail is frequently wet or flooded in places north from 19.
Light Blue cutover trail from red to power line is mowed but often wet.
Tiger Marsh area and east of Blackmon’s Camp is seasonally wet in the NE quadrant of the Reserve and may not have been mowed due to water on trail.
South Power line east of Mabry Carlton Parkway and Well Field Loop Road are in good condition.
Stockade Trail from 13 to 15 is mostly grassy but may be seasonally sandy or muddy. Stream crossings north of #8 and #9.
Turpentine Trail, north from 20, is raised for the first mile. Seasonally wet areas between 20A and 27.
Self-guiding trails are seasonally flooded.
South Border Trail between T. Mabry Carlton Parkway, Deer Prairie Slough and 67-- frequent hog damage and may be seasonally flooded or muddy. “
If you think a Florida alligator is going into a barley inundated hog infested reserve only to devour a rotting bloated BL corpse and dispose of the murder weapon I got land in Cut-Off to sell you.
ETA will this suffice for you downvote collection Boi?

Fair enough But the gist of the narrative is that when HE went camping “that area” as they described it was dry. Then submerged to an unbelievable degree for a absurd amount of time.
Full disclosure; I singlehandedly did an existing drainage feature data collection for Bay St Louis post Katrina from South of I-10 all the way to South Beach Highway 90 including Waveland.
The success of our efforts enabled us to go after and receive another $20plus million project for the City that specifically dealt with identifying the sub-basins within that massive wetland, for drainage feature development, culvert construction and maintenance between Bayou La Croix, the Wolf River, Highway 603 and I-10.
Needless to say when the delegated saga about a “flooded Reserve” came into play my ears started ringing.
Feel me now Baw?

True, but even that one point turned into ridiculous "omg someone closed the van door, that must mean he was actively strangling her in that moment!" theories
That's true. But there was also the Tik Tok couple that picked him up hitchhiking and within an hour of that couple(who barely had any followers at the time) posting the van footage, people had spotted his hat on the dash, the flip flops, etc.
I'd hate to think how long it would have taken the FBI to get anywhere with this case without those two leads and his parents leading them to the body.

Guys like you are responsible for keeping NO afloat? By exploiting tax dollars?
Anyway, hogs could've ripped his arm away...the swamps do weird shite.

Anybody know how much of his body was recovered? All I heard was “a portion of his skull.” Animals must have feasted.
