Great for them, but please don't just stop at Spann s property. There are thousands that need help.
I'm going to catch some flack for this, and I have already said that I respect the hell out of James Spann. I will likely never have a negative word to say about his on-air coverage.
That said, ABC 33/40 ran an article that started with the words, "Alabama's Chief Meteorologist, James Spann...." That article has been picked up nationally, and others have been written using similar phraseology. That irks me a bit. Spann is not "Alabama's Chief Meteorologist", I don't think there is such a thing. I guess you could say that the highest ranking employee within the state's NWS offices could lay claim to that title, but even that is a stretch.
The cult of personality around James Spann concerns me some.

You can't fault him though. He tirelessly promotes himself and his profession. He must retweet more sunset photos than any other person on the planet. He's probably visited every public elementary school in the state. More than once.
He knows every highway, road, subdivision, BBQ joint, Dollar General in his viewing area.

He does, but he isn't the only one. All of the best on-air mets can do that. Jason Simpson, a Spann protege in the Huntsville market now who I know you know, is probably better at it than Spann, to the point that I call him Rainman. There are others who are similar, as it is their job to know that stuff.
Spann also isn't the first on-air met I've seen covering an outbreak when a tornado goes down their street. He's not the first one to keep broadcasting. Again, it is their job.
I like James. I like his story. I like most of what he does on-air. I don't like all the hype.

Don't forget to add "adult establishment".

Maybe he meant Georgia and not the US?

He did. In the last page I parsed it out with myself.

I don't know that I've seen "apple-sized hail" on a threat potential before.

Let's see how much the "feel" has to do with severe weather. Today fits the part feel-wise better than the past two.

outside Skrevesport feels ominous, atmosphere is primed, just needs a kickoff

Heck, just driving 49N to Skrevesport feels ominous on any average day.

A couple days ago this cell in North AL would have been particularly worrisome.

This cell bears watching it went severe a few minutes ago and is looking better and better.

Another at West Jefferson just went severe and has a bit of that look with a broad rotation.
