Video of Eutaw, AL tornado. That car in front of them....
If that had been a strong tornado when it crossed the road, they'd be in a mess!
YouTube video from chaser James Burch

Looks like he might be driving down Highway 14 coming in from the west. My aunt and uncle lost a ton of timber on their place about 5-6 miles west of where 14 crosses over 20/59 coming into Eutaw. Ripped pines out of the ground 30 feet from a pole barn with a couple of tractors and 4wheelers under it

Wow. Brett Adair is going in hard on Spotter Network.

@spotternetwork is becoming a giant joke. Maybe instead the quality control personnel should look deeper into the report versus assuming. Poor QC. I watched the damn tornado move across the highway. Reported the important information since structures were hit. LINK

Adair having to bail out of his truck as the storm surge washed it out to sea and we could watch the dash cam live feed as it sank was fricking legendary

I travel that section of 20/59 often and occasionally take that stretch of 14 to 39 (Clinton and Gainesville) when I tire of driving on the interstate.

Greensboro tornado may have been multi-vortices tornado.

@AaronRigsbyOSC
quote:

1/2Greensboro to Centreville is one of the most bizarre damage paths I've ever documented. There was either multiple cases of long lived satellite tornadoes or insane multi vortex action going on. Huge damage swath from parent tor, nothing touched for 100 yards then more thinner

Extreme damage for a much more narrow swath. Untouched areas didn't even have trees broken

Survey team has found EF1 damage from Brierfield in Bibb County to near Wilsonville in Shelby County. There is more substantial damage further southwest down the path towards Centreville and Greensboro, but those areas will not be surveyed until sometime this weekend.

I’m not sure the image of 9 tornado emergencies is accurate because we definitely had one over Fayette County. The graphic stops over mid-Coweta just west of us. Page 65 of this thread has the warning (BobbyOGJohnson posted)

Bobby OG is the man, your updates had me alerted when the cell was over Roanoke,AL headed this way. We were ready to move to a neighbors basement when our area got a tornado emergency. It was bright as day with all of the lightning.

The NWS has to issue the Tornado Emergency in conjunction with the original Tornado Warning. They usually won't issue one without confirmation that there is a tornado on the ground. They also aren't issued for every confirmed tornado on the ground.

I thought the first tornado of the day yesterday would have gotten the tag earlier than it did.

Just in case anyone is thinking of heading north to get away from tornadoes, there was a tornado in Vermont today.
