Some things are no coincidence. Such as these 4 uncannily similar radar images all resulting in unusually long-tracked, intense tornadoes.

Saw this pop up on my feed & figured this thread could use some jolly shite to be posted as we wind down.

A reminder that quokkas live on an island with no natural predators, so they aren’t afraid of or attack humans since they don’t need those survival tactics. They love selfies and smile.

That was the threat we faced with discreet supercells that could have developed. Fortunately, the long track storms today were much slower which allowed for better lead times.

Parish prez said they bought the property next to Popeyes and put something there to pump the water to the ditch on 311. Just heard him say that at the council meeting last night

Not sure what that means

Storm chasers and some mets on Twitter are always in a constant hyperbole-off. It can be tiring. Some have forgotten what they saw on April 27, or many of them didn't see it to start with. A home with a partial roof missing and some oak trees down is not "major destruction". Foundations wiped clean, the remnants of multiple homes spread for hundreds of yards, and neighborhoods unrecognizable to the people who called them home is "major destruction". I'm not at all diminishing the damage we've seen today, there is "major damage" around, and we will see it. I am saying that everything they see doesn't need to he the worst thing they've ever seen.

They seem more worried about snapping the picture and posting than actually understanding what they see. That is both tiresome and worrisome.
