Update: Animal Control seizes all 22 dogs

Neighbor’s dogs attacked and mauled a sheep to death, animal control seized both the adult female dogs that killed the sheep and all 20 puppies today.
Animal control officer claims that the seizure had nothing to do with the attack on the sheep or vicious behavior. The seizure was due to neglect on the owners part because owner could not provide any proof that the puppies had been properly vaccinated.
Officer insisted that animal on animal aggression does not mean the dog is a danger to humans.
He even went so far as to say that a dog shows aggression towards other animals can still be trusted around a new born baby. He stood by this claim with confidence and said that animal on animal aggression can usually be linked to a dog having an underlying health issue.
He said that while my fear is valid, as a parent concerned for my children’s safety, the likelihood of my children ever being attacked in my yard was highly unlikely.
I assume from here they’ll be going to a shelter where they’ll get proper vaccines as the shelter tries to adopt them off... all freaking 22 of them!

You see violence so often when no father is in the picture.

Yeah, I'm sure your odds of getting attacked by a pitbull are the same as someone who doesn't have pits next door that eat sheep.
This is why you can't trust animal control. Next time, bust out the poisoned meat.

They difused the situation and took appropriate action to ensure that it wouldn't happen again. They were also careful not to say anything that would inflame the situation further or give much of a cause for legal action.... Sounds like a pretty reasonable course of action by the animal control folks IMO.
