But I don’t think that those were the predicted seas — I thought the noaa (?) report here somewhere said 3/5?? It’s a couple of pages back.

I’m afraid it’s going to be a he said/they said and very drawn out.

I did hear in the video that a family member asked something about possible that bodies were still in the boat and the response was yes. One body was found trapped under a lot of debris per what I heard in the video so it’s likely that’s the case. And much of the boat I guess could be stuck in the mud?? although it’s upside down so maybe not?

He said 10-12 foot seas. That's bad, but I thought that even those flat bottom lift boats could handle that.

10-12 are huge. I think that boat was only rated for 5 foot.

The seas have washed the boat into the /mud/sand/clay.

I have watched everything Chris Derouen has put out. That guy is not the sharpest tool in the shed. Those guys are running on emotions. Logic and experience does not come into play too much with him.

The legs are over 80 yards long. Heavy massive pieces of steel that have created massive amounts of stress on the hull due to everything being jumbled up in a giant washing machine. (The GOM). That is why you are seeing cracks in the hull.

Not so bright folks people tend to be very suspicious of everything in my opinion.

This guy is certainly no authority on anything that I have seen so far. There is nothing that could satisfy that guy. ( not that anyone is under obligation to satisfy him ). He will always piss and moan about something.

From the pictures it looks like the boat stood up on the stern a bit when the leg broke off. They also have been pulling other weight off of the wreckage which is going to cause a shift in buoyancy.

Weight, leverage, seas, and almost constant currents can make a big mess.

I mainly thought it was interesting to hear the current update of what they’re doing and how they’ll get it to land.

I’m seriously hoping that the remaining guys are found in the boat so poor Mr Daspit and the other families can have some closure.

i would have imagined that the ability to swim would be a minimum requirement to work on a boat/rig offshore

I completed my HUET (helicopter egress training) the first thing the instructor asks is how many of you cannot swim...
