Billy Joel is the defacto headliner. The other artist he tours with plays a smaller set and is the opener. I saw Sting open for him in San Antonio.

I like Billy, but I heard a few people say he was trainwreck drunk in some of the appearances with Elton John.

Elton John basically fired Billy from the face to face tour which is why they stopped having them. Elton is such a perfectionist and he couldn’t deal with Billy being drunk and fricking around during concerts. Billy’s been on the wagon for about 20 years now and he still puts on a hell of a show.
