Finally a world leader who won’t sugar coat it

German Chancellor Angela Merkel has warned that up to 70% of the country's population - some 58 million people - could contract the coronavirus. Mrs Merkel made the stark prediction at a news conference on Wednesday alongside Health Minister Jens Spahn. She said since there was no known cure, the focus would fall on slowing the spread of the virus. "It's about winning time," she explained. Her remarks came as Italy entered its second day of a national lockdown. Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte announced the closure of schools, gyms, museums, nightclubs and other venues across the country, which on Wednesday passed 10,000 confirmed infections.

What has shown a 70% contraction rate is even possible? We already know children don't get it. So who's getting it then?

Children get it, but it's not dangerous to them generally.

And how fricking weird is it that children haven’t?

This is a targeted virus. Plain and simple.

Goodbye elders.

Well there’s a whole lot of fighting age males there that will surely carry on the legacy of older Germans, right?

Takes a special kind of dumb to actually think that a virus just magically skips over children

Seriously just think about what you are saying

70% of Germans will get it? Well, we know whose fault that is, don’t we?

You know, this has an interesting hegemony shifting storyline.

You have an aging European population that isn’t reproducing as much.
A younger migrant population breeding rapidly.

The death of a lot of older, ethnic Europeans, coupled with a proliferating, mobilized and aggressive population of non-Europeans could shift an electorate. Hell look at the mayor of London.

Corona doing what the Moops couldn’t

Wouldnt that be some shite.

If a virus came and killed everyone over the age of 12.

World would have to rebuild, new laws and ways of thinking for those who survived. Even if you were in your 20s of 30s and somehow made it though. In 5 or so years you will either be a target or celebrated. Or both.

Kids are easily persuaded, that’s why we don’t let them make decisions. You’d have factionalism. With the youth rallied behind older (relatively) figureheads. Probably see Balkanization and rampant violence.

Tribes would form.

Yeah, until they realised/or felt that you were full of shite lol so in 5 to 7 years youd better get yourself useful..or you're dealing with a bunch of misguided 17-19 year olds who have had to grow up very harshly. And everyone else is gonna be in better shape, so check knuckles.
