This is amazing to listen to when you have time. It is two psychologist discussing the possibility that the Zodiac Killer is actually Ted Kaczynski. Really interesting.

John Ramsey was definitively eliminated as the author of the letter. Patsy was not. But neither was she implicated. Sure there is a lot of internet theorizing about the note, and it's true that was the reason for the BPD's initial interest in Patsy, but there is SO much evidence pointing elsewhere, including unidentified male DNA. This little girl died a grotesque death by strangulation, she was garroted to death after having her head bashed in. It's just one of dozens of things that make no sense about possible Ramsey involvement. But who knows except for the people involved, that's why it's called a mystery.

It sure is a peculiar case, simply because its hard to fathom parents doing something this grotesque to a child. Forget the fact they were wealthy, that's not it.
But parents do, in fact, murder their own children, and it happened here, as well. To me, there is SO much evidence that points to the Ramsays. First, the ransom was a terrible attempt of a cover up. To think Patsy did not write that note is just being naive. So, since she wrote it, she must have some involvement in it. Has to, no doubt. Ransom notes are not written if the child is still in the house and the perpetrator does not have possession of the child. Its sort of rule #1 of ransom note writing.
Secondly, there was never any sign of forced entry, nor any tracks in the snow leading up to the house. Jon Benet was murdered with items from within the house. Wouldn't it be prudent of a kidnapper/murderer to bring some weapon with him, if his intention was to kill the child?

I don't think the intention was to kill JonBenet. I think it started out as a kidnapping and went wrong somehow.
I don't think the family did it. Honestly I've suspected family friend Fleet White.
The only thing that bugs me is how long an intruder would've been in the house--at least 2 hours. But if the basement was so far away, I guess you could hang out there all night doing something so terrible and no one would know.

If your theory is based on a false premise it is likely to lead you to a false conclusion.

Here is how I view it. The Ramseys were normal people. John had an adult daughter. They had another child, Burke.Everybody, before and after-completely normal. By all accounts they were loving, attentive parents. They did enjoy Christmas dinner with family friends, go home, murder their daughter in the most sadistic manner imaginable, write a bizarre rambling ransom note, invite friends over for help, find the body and then cover it all up successfully. Patsy was not sophisticated enough to get away with that. She was a very simple woman, and her children were her entire world.

More likely was a sociopathic pederast (there is unidentified DNA on her underwear) that had knowledge of the family via her participation in pageants and via John's company. I think there is also a weird revenge/sadistic aspect of the case that explains the ransom note. I agree with those, including investigators, who think that the kidnapping went "wrong" after she was sexually assaulted and the note was a last minute intentional ruse meant to destroy John Ramsey. Bottom line-that crime was way too illogical and sadistic for the Ramseys to have been involved. Only an INCREDIBLY incompetent DA and a police force that averaged one murder a decade allowed the speculation to stay on the parents that long (and local radio host Peter Boyles who went on a multi-year anti Ramsey jihad).

The footprint in the snow stuff is total BS by the way. The snow was patchy at best. I mean, we all laughed about that at the time.

I believe some day we will know the truth. I think that DNA gets a hit some day. If not guys like us are likely to argue it like Jack The Ripper for 200 years.

I don't see Kaczynski being Zodiac at all. The personalities were entirely different. Una killed to make a point (and was pretty terrible at it, tbh) and that doesn't seem like Zodiac at all.

I read the whole wiki article on the murser last night, and I didn't see anything about sexual assault. Gonna have to reread that.

I thought this too at first. Listen to that radio show I linked. It will amaze you how wrong you are.

Well, there was no sperm. There was "unspecified" DNA on her underwear. I didn't mean there was definitive evidence of rape (I think I recall her hymen was broke according to the coroner) buy the psych-sexual element of sexual assault (the garrote and the whole sadistic vibe of the crime).

I just spent some time reading up on this.

Facts from the coroner:
She was hit first over the head by blunt trauma, possibly a flashlight. After this ,then she had the garotte put around her to create a look that she was strangled. And then after death was the "sexual" assault.

Sorry, but this is way to obvious of a family cover up. Probably the older brother hit her with the flashlight, then the parents covered it up to protect the child from any prosecution, although in Colorado, a 9 year old would not have been charged with murder.

In Vernon Parish in the mid or late 80s, several young women / girls of similar appearance went missing in a short time span. I believe the body of one was found, but no trace of the others. It was a big story at the time, but I have never heard any mention of it since and don't recall it ever being solved.

Jack the Ripper
I was watching haunted history the other day and some believe it was HH Holmes. They found documentation where he traveled to London during that time
