So I’m not sure the solution as far as build more parks, reduce capacity, increase price, etc. but the issue is just too many people.
They can't build more parks at this point, they can't staff what they have.
They need to cut the difference and just make certain days guaranteed capacity... like one day a week in each park, it's going to be stupid expensive, but you get the experience like you USED to get at events like MNSSHP, etc.
The dated tickets take care of this. It's probably going to be $300+ per ticket for those days, but they'll sell out. Added bonus, maybe they don't even use the stupid Genie thing at all? Maybe it's only limited thru 2pm, and park hopping is allowed, so people can get rope-drop to 2pm without the unwashed masses there.
They quit regulating crowds for their big special events, and the only perk became the event itself and nighttime cooler temps. They do have some limited capacity events, but you essentially pay the price for a day ticket for a half-day worth of hours, with limited rides.

Hope it’s better than the other parks. I’ve been to Orlando and Hollywood Universal multiple times. It’s just so overrated overall. The express pass cost is insane but it’s miserable to go without it. So when you add it on the cost is much more than Disney. The Velocicoaster is insane. The Hulk coaster is solid. The Mummy is too. Outside of those the rest of the rides are mostly garbage 3D rides to shake you around and make you get sick. The parks have decent food compared to some others I’ll admit. But overall for the price I just don’t like it. I’ll add that the entire Harry Potter areas are probably great for those fans but the rides aren’t anything amazing for the wait and my kids were bored in those areas.
Give me Disney any day over Universal. Maybe the new park will be more than just 3D rides.
To quote my kids “almost every ride is the same with just a different screen in front of you”.
