When it comes to living a long life - booze may actually help you live longer than hitting the treadmill. A new study claims drinking a couple of glasses of beer or wine a day is more important than exercise for living past 90. A specialist in neurology from the University of California spoke about the research at a recent conference. She tells British online newspaper The Independent she firmly believes that modest drinking improves longevity. The study shows people who drank about two glasses of beer or wine a day were nearly 20 percent less likely to experience a premature death.

Many years ago, they did a study and found out that 1 beer a day is actually good for you. But, with alcoholism being problems, they decided that pushing that would not be the best ideal.

Guy from AB, told me, they were kind of persuaded to not highlight daily drinking and pounding one every day, by government officials and pressure from MADD and other groups.

I agree. My paw paw is 98, eats bacon and eggs for breakfast every day. All 7 of his brothers and sisters lived until at least 95.

I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s because the couple of drinks a day helps cope with the work/life stress and that’s actually what adds on the years.

C'mon man, you don't think our tax dollars going for research like this gem are worth our cash?:

"Women prefer nice looking men, who are successful, 2 average looking guys who aren't successful(financially) ."

I mean c'mon, we should continue to give these researchers and scientists even more funds for these brilliant studies.
