As a guy who has worked in the airplane industry doing CFD I can honestly say they love to play loose with the word “efficiency.” I would only ask what the baseline actually was or if this is an ideal circumstances type calculation. Weight is king at Boeing but I’ve watched various design groups try to shift differnent components to other groups so that their group can claim weight savings. It’s all rather amusing. We used to joke that the G650 is so efficient they owner can afford to biggie size it at Wendy’s after a flight.

Except weight is caused by genetics not paper
