That would be somebody that hasn't read why they called him Denim. When he first started hiking these trails, he wore jeans. They laughed at the new guy because nobody wears jeans to hike thousands of miles. They will rub you raw. They helped him get more appropriate clothing.

It’s one of those video photo collages with pics from the last 50 years. The pic with the guy in it looks to be from the 90s.
Yes, i went to the site and watched the video. Been following this case for a while. I’ve always dreamed of going off the grid for a while, and this case has been fascinating. This guy actually did it. Even today, with what is known, there is very little to be found about him. I’m bringing a flip phone to call for help and a weapon when i finally do it.

I'm in the bottom photograph. It was taken at UL some time between August 1994 and May 1997. I'm pretty sure these are all members of the University Honors Program. Unfortunately I didn't know Mr. Rodriguez and have nothing to offer to solve this mystery besides ID'ing this photo.
