One more thing, the population in India has an affinity for gold. As they have increased their earning power, they have continued to buy more and more. As long as gold holds it's value, then their "saved wealth" (kind of what having gold is, just outside of a bank...necklaces and rings etc.) will increase. I wonder if that is a factor in their determination.

Indians with any money have actually been moving away from gold and into more traditional investment vehicles over the last 3 - 5 years. Could be another reason why overall wealth is doing well - more money is being brought out of the shadow economy in general.

Wonder how many work our IT Help Desk?

"Ok sir, is there anything else I can help you with today?" - asked after they never seemed to understand or solve our problem.

Maybe. A lot of years to live and a lot of variables between now and then.

Asia has transformed over the last 40 years and it will be interesting how much longer the US is the sole super power..... In my humble opinion, as Asian economies grow they will be a larger strain on natural resources in the region.

I think this is where our next WW happens and a super power will emerge.

Most of the poverty families realized the value of education and put their kids in school. Now their kids are making a decent living.

The thinking used to be that more people working labor more money. It has changed.

Just think how much better off humanity would be if we got rid of the white male patriarchal idea of capitalism and instead embraced the equity that socialism and globalism brings.

In Louisiana, distribution or cultivation of marijuana is punishable by a fine of up to $50,000 and 5-30 years of imprisonment. Subsequent offenses are punishable by 10-60 years of imprisonment and a fine of up to $100,000.

When this changes, and private prisons are outlawed..I'll be like, "whoa".

If america ever got it's priorities straight on all sides, we would truly own this world.
