Nothing? Their weapons are fine.

Other than the fact they can't be loaded and fired?

if you look closely you can see these are no PP-19's

That's because they are most likely Chinese knockoffs of the PP-19

That's not a grenade launcher. It's a 9mm subgun

I understand. But like I said, if you look closely you can see these are no PP-19's. They're too long. Plus the gas tube is different.

You're wrong, man...

North Korean Helical AK Magazines

They are definitely Bizon mags... or a NK knock-off of the Bizon.

But in no way are they grenade launchers.

Those are Russian Bizon SMG's. The bolded part above tells me everything i need to know about your knowledge of weaponry.

Look at the ejection port of those rifles and compare that to the PP-19. This thing fires a full rifle round instead of a smaller pistol round that would found in a sub-machine gun. And since it fires a normal rifle round, it needs a rifle magazine, which that plastic tube is blocking where the rifle magazine would go.

This is a serious question.

I don't really consider NK a threat at all. They are a threat to SK, but SK has allies and it would not do them any favors to attack SK.

- Am I underestimating them? The country itself is what? about 1/6 size of Texas? (if they become a real threat, it wouldn't take long to just wipe them off the map. It could probably be done by dropping a few bombs).

- Their military capabilities are a complete joke. Any missile they shoot would probably blow up in the sky before reaching its destination.

It just doesn't make sense to me why they are even talked about. It might piss China off, but they are more concerned about NK citizens pouring into China more than anything, but look at this picture. They have grenade launchers that don't even have triggers.

So it's a submachine gun with a tubular mag?

Tubular mag gives them a capacity of 53 rounds

I've forgotten more about weaponry than you'll ever know. Look here and you'll see what a gas tube is on a AK.

They are loaded, the magazine is what you called the "grenade launcher". The weapon is the North Korea Type 88, read a book sometime.

Picture your crazy neighbor with 100,000 artillery pieces trained on the home of your best friend. Would you be concerned?

SK is one of two legitimate democracies in Asia and is therefore a close ally.
