Does the OT think UFC is a cool sport to follow and watch or is it extremely douchy and trashy??

What does it matter? If it entertains you, then watch it. If not, don't.

I don't even understand what the frick you are talking about.

Like all sports it can be either. Depends on how you involve yourself with it.

The thing I dislike about UFC snd boxing are the people (usually women) that get all dressed up and act like it's a formal event.

They're clueless about what's actually going on and it's demeaning to the sport.

Douchey, but what do I or anyone else matter in life. The question is, what do you like, and enjoy it

It has peaked. UFC from 2005-2012 was awesome.

Big time boxing matches used to be a big deal to attend.

I’d agree that some people overdress now, but back in the day it was definitely something that you dressed nice to.

Yeah I hated it back then too.

Second worst are the people who don't understand the strategy and just cheer for the hard hits.

The great irony of these threads is that the OP inevitably turns out to be a "pro" wrestling fan.

It can be as normal or as douchey as you make it. I enjoy watching but don't dress in a Monster Khaos orange t-shirt while doing it. I've seen men dress in orange Adidas and wear soft spikes walking around TPC Las Colinas during the Byron like they're Ricky Fowler. Douche knows no bounds and is easily accomplished anywhere to choose to look. Or even care.

I’m not even talking about the fans. The fans of ufc are another topic. I’m talking about the sport itself. I can’t stand Dana white first off. It doesn’t seem like a well respected sport either from the other major sports. It’s just kind of there. It’s replaced boxing for sure

If you enjoy it, watch it.

It's trashy either way.

It’s fun to watch but the guys obsessed with it are 90% complete tools.

Sport itself is badass. Boxers are shite heads too.

I don't like Dana either but MMA is bigger than him.

As for respect, UFC started out as a wild outcast, then gained a lot of traction about 10 years ago, then seemed to fade out.

I'm not sure why it lost popularity. I stopped watching it about 10 years ago and would like to know why.

I guess it's different for some of us. I well remember UFC 1 if that's even a thing. Back when the matches were VHS rentals and never on TV. True bloodsport. Dan Severn days. Joyce. Crazy guys period.

I think it’s douchey but watching people fight for money seems trashy to me. I feel the same way about boxing. I do respect the training and strategy but it’s not for me.
