they're busy letting all those clients now know what might happen next.

Been a lot better if they did that prior to the elections of the city management.

What happens next? Well a big dose of consequence. They need not be disheartened. Consequence is happening in many cities around the country.

Now, factor in that Minneapolis spends forty million dollars a year on its public transportation system that the city is responsible for managing, maintaining, and operating, yet it is so wholly deficient that they have to implement another taxpayer-funded program to give people a grand a month to catch a ride with a private company. Given that example of their shitty fricking money management they still have the audacity to tell said private company how it should run its business.

frick em all!

They'll have that moment as soon as the first woman admits she's wrong - so, never.

I dabbled with driving for Uber for a little bit last year. Made some decent money around Jazzfest in Nola and a few other weekends. I stopped after a few months.

The pay was getting horrible and has really gotten bad now. Like downtown to airport trips that pay the driver $11 sometimes with the customer paying Uber $55.
Nola to Baton Rouge trips for $55.

All that being said, I in no way want governments to be involved in this pay rate situation. Let the markets handle that.

Insurance on a civic would likely be around $1500-2000 a year on the high end. Note would be $400/month tops but likely closer to $250. That’s around $500/month for note plus insurance on the high end but likely cheaper. You think someone is spending $500 or more a month on gas for a civic or other comparable vehicle?!
