My son pretended to be Spider-Man all day yesterday…should I tell him?

You seem to not understand what the highlighted word means.

Are you under the impression that if you tell him he is Spiderman he will live the rest of his life believing he is?

If so, he might have some undiagnosed mental disabilities

You’re right when everyone was praying to Jesus in schools and everyone was supposed to be Christian there was nothing awful happening to certain people at all. No rights being violated whatsoever

I never said that, or even alluded to something so absurd. It’s a fallen world, and it’s always needed a savior to save it from itself. America was most certainly blessed because of this nation’s adherence to the Gospel, missions to spread the Gospel to the world, and our moral constructs that stem directly from scripture, even though we have most certainly deviated from that at times, and haven’t always been consistent in it. Even still, up until the middle to latter part of the 20th century, this country has always had a rudder to guide it’s beliefs and actions found in the scriptures. It’s what’s happened since that’s caused, and is causing us real problems, problems you’re seeing before your very eyes right now, real scary stuff if you’re paying attention. What’s at place now simply cannot be blessed by God, which is why when people say “God Bless America” today, I cannot help but ask “Yeah, HOW?”

Uhhh I actually believe it's both. I have one friend from childhood who I knew was gay. He was born gay, not a doubt in my mind. His mannerisms, his attitude, everything about him screamed gay.

On the flip side, I have a lesbian friend that is 100% choosing that as a lifestyle. She was married for 15 years, had 3 kids, and lead a seemingly heterosexual life then one day just decided to be a lesbian. She was with a few different partners over a few years then guess what? She's married to a guy again with a kid on the way. She wasn't born a lesbian, she just decided to give it a go.

Oh and I can tell you exactly how it happened too. She met a new friend at the gym that I believe was born lesbian. Over time, she groomed her and convinced her to give the lifestyle a trial period. That was her first partner that she was with for over a year.

Not really, but keep clutching your pearls about how gay people kissing in a cartoon, or reading them a Dr. Seuss story, or a math problem involving Steve and Steven will magically turn your son gay.

I don’t give a frick if my son is gay. I’m not a bible thumper.

Your argument that young kids aren’t extremely impressionable is at best dishonest and at worst malicious.

Sexuality is a spectrum, and some people exist in a bi-sexual capacity, is this really news to people in 2022?

She was groomed. Are you suggesting the born lesbian activated her bi gene?

Nope. She was groomed by this person. Unhappy in her marriage, the lack of attention, etc. and this person used that to groom her.

If you tell your kid he is Spider-Man you think he'll jump off a building and try and shoot webs? Think he is Spider-man the rest of his life?

And why do you think gay conversion therapy has such a terrible track record? Seems to me logic and the evidence seems to pretty conclusively show that showing some men kissing or holding hands, or solving a math problem is not going to make someone that isn't already gay or bi, gay or bi.

Because that was socially acceptable and natural. Homosexuality is still tabu in the majority of the worlds communities and while pride marches/months may have moved the needle some, it still has a long way to go before it is at critical mass. Until that time inserting that into a children's cartoon isn’t natural, its just forced to further a political agenda and therefore inappropriate.
Who are you to determine what's "natural"? Homopobes had no problem with kissing & alleged sexualization in family movies/ cartoons with heterosexual characters ( even if its borderline rape like Pepe Le Pew).

Pushing your heterosexual only "family values" doesn't have a political agenda? Gtfo.

There is no gay DNA. No gay gene. Environment, parenting absences or parenting dominances, social outcasting, bullying, over sexualization at early ages...all sorts of things contribute to a person being gay.

But not genetics.

Like I said, don’t give a frick about gay folks. They can do what they want.

I was just critiquing your idiotic comment about a kid being gay because he was read a story by a dude in drag.

Based on what evidence? That she decided, as you said, to date a woman of her own free will?

Again, do some of you just either harbor repressed bi-sexual/homosexual tendencies? Cause as a straight person, the idea some gay dude could just say some magical combo of words and I'd flip some mental switch and start wanting to gobble down every cock I see is laughable....But I guess if deep down you've always had that urge, these sorts of "concerns" make some sense in a repressed sexuality sort of way

You mean helped make my point with a terrible attempt at an analogy that only reinforced the absurdity of the current satanic panic, gay edition
