I've never seen anything like that cell phone video. Their obliviousness to the evil that was taunting them only inches away was one of the most haunting and surreal things I've ever seen. What a horrible person.

The sheriff holding the press conference asked for prayers and thoughts for the families of Alicia Parker and Aaron Wade, then said "I'm sorry, Ward."

What about Alison Parker and Adam Ward? Don't they count?

I can't imagine being family or friend to any of these victims. It's on video. How do you live with your daughter/sister/girlfriend/ect's cold blooded murder being forever caught on video?

I just watched the Facebook video this pos posted of the shooting.

My question is how the hell and why the hell didn't the lady in white or the reporter look up?
Dude is standing 2-3-4 foot away pointing a frickING gun at you. He looked somewhat suspicious and he walked right up to them. They never even glanced his way.
Then this lowers it, fumbles around for 10 seconds or so still standing that close and raises it AGAIN!

People pay attention to your surroundings.
Would he have still shot them? Sure.. Could they have had better chance get away? You gotta think so.

I'm sure they were focused on their live, on-air interview and the thought of someone approaching with a gun probably never crossed their mind. No way one can do an interview and pay attention to everything around them. Only thing that would have given them a chance is if every reporter that does any report anywhere also has security with them.

Stop blaming the fricking victims.

I'm not blaming victims.
Just stating an obvious observation.

Settle down.

They may have noticed him walking up and then tuned him out. Reporters are trained to ignore everything going on around them when they're doing this stuff.

It is odd the interviewee didn't notice, but I see how it could happen. Hell, somebody could EASILY walk up behind me while I'm on the phone at work and aim a gun at me for a few seconds before blasting me without anybody noticing if he timed it right.

"Behind" you.
Notice I didn't mention Adam. Poor guy didn't have a chance.

The lady in white in particular could have certainly and prob should noticed the gun.

If they really were as racist as he claimed they probably would have noticed the 6"3 250lb thug pointing a gun at them from 3 feet away.....

Meh. People get tunnel vision when they're on the spot or under pressure and it doesn't look like he was there for long.
