quote:

“I don’t think they were walking in the woods and they eyed each other and said, ‘Now is the time to attack her,’ ” said Liz Stelow, a clinician at the veterinary school at the University of California at Davis.

The Left Coast is full of loons.

i get that, but i'm talking about something having to be able to be dry in order to be wet.

if something is hard, it doesn't have to be able to also be soft, or be able to be cold if hot, etc.

I have a friend, gangster, real-life hood, he has had a couple of pits and trained them, he did own them for image and protection and always told me not to wrestle with his dog. It was a real friendly pit and loved to play rough. But he would say don't wrestle with him too much because the dog had a switch and cannot be turned off once it's flipped. He was Swiss and I would visit, last time I was there he had a bounty on him, and his friend's brother and dog were murdered by a rival gang while I was there. He always stood with his back against the wall and always wore a stab proof vest, fun times I tell ya.
My guess is something triggered one of the woman's pits, and it could happen just by playing with the dog. Especially if she did not know one could flip. It can happen just playing tug o war with a stick.

Dogs don't just attack without warning. Humans are too stupid to see the signs or they ignore them.
