no that's definitely one of my other hangups here
I wonder if I need to get a pair or two of my regular slacks tailored for that, or just buy loopless slacks with buttons that were designed for suspenders?

long term that's no issue, but for right now it is. the wedding is tonight.
how trashy are the clips? I'd never wear a clip on tie or w/e but I also hate the idea of going to weddings in the same stupid shite every other white guy wears. I'm like a peacock man I gotta fly
also I know it's houma but these definitely ain't white trash types. their upbringing was substantially better than mine lmao

I don't think you're going to impress them with suspenders. You will stand out though, just not in a good way.
