The backhand causes more lost of life than any physical move in a fight. You can shoot someone or drop a grenade in their house and they might find a reason to let it go, but it if you hit them with the backhand...? All bets are off.

The lick makes it stang more. Used to do the same thing to pellets before we loaded them up. ...which were lead and explains a lot, come to think of it.
