*tech board responses were slow
I have SD Cox cable. I have had it for about a month but decided to reorganize the wires behind the TV.
Now, after hooking it back up the quality is pretty terrible (aside from HD Digital Channels).
These are the two splitters that I have
I'm going:
1. Direct run from wall to "In"
2. On the left "Out", I have it running to my cable modem
3. On the right "out", I have it jumping to the "To Amp" slot, connecting the two splitters
4. I have my Tv wire going directly to the "To Tv" slot
5. I have my signal booster/AC adapter going to the "Pwr" slot

Nice try.. It's 12-5 a-hole!

Try it with just the splitter, the one with the two -3.5 dB outs.
What are your cable modem signal levels?

I actually don't have an internet connection right now
Could that have something to do with it?

Also check the cable you are splitting.
Older installations used RG59 and newer use RG6.
I had some signal loss problems on a long run to my garage that was older RG59. Upgraded to RG6 and all is well.
Some RG59 is not shielded as well also.

You can't have the splitter first. Your killing your power to amp.

You've got it hooked up correctly. Sounds like either your power inserted is bad or the power supply for the power inserted is bad.

From wall to input of amp, out of amp to (to amp port on power inserter)
Power pack for amp to (power port on power inserter )
From tv port on power inserter to other splitter input , one to tv the other to your modem.

So you're saying:
1. Run the cable from the wall to the PWR slot
2. Running from the amp slot is my AC Adaptor/booster
3. Running from my "To Tv" slot to the "In" of the other splitter
4. Cable modem out of one "out", and tv out of the other "out"
Is that what you're saying?
