My service would constantly go out no matter the weather. It would be beautiful outside and just cut out. Awful product. Went through multiple modems and routers.

Too bad their U-Verse product blows chunks.

How does this play into the merger?

From what I understand uverse will improve with the merger by opening bandwidth for internet speed.

Although, it doesn't really matter since you won't be forced to carry internet with DirecTV.

The packages or tiers are lame as shite too.

The old lady has been trying to upgrade to a higher tier for about 2 months now and somehow the change never goes through.

And that's fine. I went back to cable and the product is light years better. I'm sure AT&T has better customer service, but I'd rather deal with a dickhead one time than have to call AT&T every single weekend like they're my mother.

AT&T is overpriced basura, imo.

We are limited on options so ATT and DirecTV are my two now.

I like that I will get one bill. I usually don't have to call customet service, I have found sending an email gets better results and a return call from someone who has already solved the problem.

Cox let someone use my SSN to run up a $1000 bill and now it is on me to prove them wrong. Even though they admit the credit check failed for the other person. So they can go frick themselves at this point.

Yeah, no doubt. The competition disappearing worries me more than any change in actual service.

t's pretty stupid when people say cut the cord then list leaching off of another person's cable subscription as a way to do it.

I disagree. Cable companies don't allow multiple users like say Netflix, so if I just want ESPN for a few games a year I don't see the point of paying for full cable every month. I use my parents password to access ESPN and don't feel the slightest bad about it, simply for the fact that my parents will have cable whether I use it or not. I'm not paying for 50 channels when all I want is a few games a year.

I got the same email, but in Spanish

Buy an Xbox and just use their apps. You can get news, tv shows, movies etc.

The point is that leaching off of someone's cable isn't a real solution to getting rid of cable. At some point someone has to be paying for the cable service.

+1

Anything I need to see, I can see on the internet. All of you who have tv and can't imagine going without it...you'd be surprised how little you miss it.

I have a 60 inch in my living room... Mostly for sporting events.. I have never had a problem with cox.. I have had it for almost 20 years and yes it is a little high but I don't mind spending the money on it.... I guess I am a homebody and enjoy watching tv... Mostly reruns of shows... Todays shows are garbage...
