He decided to disobey commands. While I don't agree with the shooting, his actions caused this, pencil dick.

How, when the window was up¿ Didn't they show blood splatter on the driver side window?

People keep saying he was reaching into his vehicle. Yet there are images of the window being completely up. And the door closed. Are there images of the door open or window down when he was next to the car? Serious question

So she gets charged for manslaughter when he wasn't obeying lawful commands? Interesting.

disobeying commands isnt a death penalty situation. to be justified will take a bit more than just that

Does it still has to go to a grand jury.

Doubt it if they are saying this now.

Either way. No jury will convict.

Too much reasonable doubt from looking at those pictures that came out today on whether he was reaching into the vehicle or not.

didn't he reach into his vehicle while they were telling him to stop?
It isn't real clear if he was or wasn't.

Do a reasonable threat assessment, be prepared to react to a real threat, don't kill someone over an assumed threat. That's part of the difficult job of being a police officer. It is the high responsibility that comes with the authority.

you'd think that.

it is a death penalty to some, though.

Had he listened, this wouldn't have happened. Simple as that.

No needle boy. Her pulling the trigger caused his death. Let me give you a law lesson while we are at it. Disobeying lawful commands has never been grounds for shooting and killing someone. At least not in the USA. You might do better in North Korea.

Probably don't want cops with a license to kill for simply disobeying any command they might give.

Where do you expect the to draw the line? Let's say you see someone breaking into your car, you go outside with a gun and they throw their hands up, however; they proceed to walk to their car. Once they get there, they reach into their car. Are you going to hesitate to see what they are doing?

If someone has a gun pointed at you, its really not a good idea to disobey their command, whether or not if that person is a police officer.

There are pictures of him with his hands down and pictures of him which appears that he's reaching into the vehicle

You do know that people have been shot at point-blank range on purpose by cops when following commands to a T don't you? Google the video of the man being shot by a cop at a gas station when retrieving his license.

agreed that too many people jump to "i dont know what could have happened" as a justification of "i am going to kill him"

officers have a high responsibility to be reasonably certain before taking lives (at least in my book)

Like I said earlier- I bet the investigators took HD photos of the whole scene. If the windows were up or down, it would be very apparent after the fact. Also, if the other officers thought it was a bad shoot it would come out shortly afterwards (like now) and may influence the decision to charge/not charge.

It will be interesting to see how this plays out. I am sure we'll be hearing from her police union shortly.
