Would this be the type of facility that they would test the Corona Virus on chimps?

don't think they really need to test the coronavirus on anything at this point, we know a lot about it. They may need to use animals for early vaccine trials, but they usually start with mice or something like that

Shite nvm just looked it up. Testing to see if and how it affects other animals and where the virus congregates in the body.

They've already sent an e-mail saying the chimps can work from home.

Please explain in detail, otherwise I take that you are full of shite. Chimps arent humans, and there are plenty of infected humans to collect data on in a safe environment.

I remember reading that they had started testing the virus over there a few weeks back. I know there were very few cases in the US at the time. So what's the protocol for a facility like that to even get their hands on the specific virus?

I think the main reason to gain data on chimps, or other animals, is so they have baseline knowledge on how the virus affects the animal for when they start testing the vaccines on the animals

There are almost no other primates in north america. That makes no sense from a resource management standpoint, 99% of humans are perfectly suitable to test vaccinations against. It's a cold for most people. Try again.

My best friends dad lived in north park and had woods behind his house that backed up to this. (Woods gone now) lots of weird shite was back there. We used to hear the monkeys all the time.

My brother works at the primate lab out in Oregon. If they close down the research center, there is a very (un)lucky group of individuals who will get to stay behind, locked on campus with the primates.

According to him, the monkeys can carry COVID19.

I think the facility was selected to carry out the research as opposed to the facility petitioning for access.

I'm not an expert, just speculating, but are you claiming that they aren't testing on the chimps at all in Covington?

Ok but like I dont understand anything about viruses. So they say this shite is called COVID-19. Is there just like a bank vault of viruses that the researchers go into and grab a bottle of the covid-19 to give to the monkeys? Is the covid-19 stored between the covid-18 and covid-20? Or was some poor soul chosen to go to china and grab a sample from Wuhan to bring back?
