Check out the Booby Trap while you’re out there. You’ll thank me later.

That's a little further out near Parrish right? I remember passing it a few times. I spend a lot of time in that area of Bama.

Yea I think so. I would pass it going to drag race when I was in high school.

I never actually went in there but I’ve heard instead of clapping they have 2x4s chained to the table and you hit the table with it. Either that or it’s used to keep your methed out ole lady in check.

If you have to book a room on 59N, go all the way to Trussville. Traffic will be a nightmare in the morning and afternoon, but you'll still be alive to sit in it. You might not have a chance to see morning traffic if you get a room anywhere between Roebuck and Downtown.

The Baptists rented those months ago.

I passed by one time and the "marquee" outside said "Mandy the Midget, back this Friday".

Gross. I'd rather some kind of Louisiana coonass swamp trash convention. Or even make the Magic City Classic biannual

There’s a Days Inn off exit 252 of I65. About a mile or so from my house. Next to a Waffle House.

Is that the one that Vestavia PD has threatened to shut down because of rampant crime?

Oh snap. It is. But not the one I was thinking of. Econo Lodge is next to the Waffle House. It actually looks decent and who doesn’t love a Waffle House next door. I think you even get a free breakfast for staying there.

It did burn about 6 - 7 years ago. Probably some meth head.

There are two WH’a at that exit. One south by the econo lodge, and one north across 31 from that Days inn

And Ranch House is a much better breakfast than either. One of the former Hoover and Troy FB players mom works there. Or she did a while back. Friendly service and great food

Did you play at Troy? If you did, are you from Fort Payne? I may have asked you that before but I can’t remember.

No and no. Other end of the state and I was barely a scrub in HS.

I've seen you talk up Ranch House on here before. Now I know why. I was going to guess you were a former employee or friends with family of one of the owners or something.

I'll also recommend Tip Top for a good breakfast, albeit less extensive menu, in that area

ETA: I'm a fan of the Ranch House btw, didn't mean for that to sound negative

I spent last Summer there, in basically a trap house, after I left one 'rehab' after 2 weeks and was waiting on another one to have a space.

If life hadn't become unmanageable before then, it sure as frick happened after being there. Jesus Christ what a shithole.
