What's the height of the door the perp is standing in front of at the church compared to the height of the door the FIL walks through at the police station.

That is a big issue. I never heard of him until earlier post in this thread. Someone on reddit mentioned husband saying he was told by police person was closer to 6ft, but i don’t think there was a link for quote and police also might have wanted husband and FIL to relax before springing correct measurements on them separately.

No wonder this hasn't been solved in 5 years if the police can't figure out to take that video and measure the door frame at the church to figure out how tall the perp is.

They are also looking for the driver of a light-colored 2010 or 2012 Nissan Altima seen on video about 2 a.m. on the day of the murder as the car pulls into the nearby SWFA Outdoors parking lot.

I just saw this case a couple months ago on one of the crime shows and went down the internet/reddit rabbit hole.
Based on that it sounds like both Missy and her husband cheated on each other frequently. Seems like an open secret to people in that town and surrounding areas.
One of the big rumors is that Missy was sleeping with the wife of a cop and the cop's wife is the murderer. And the cops know this and are covering it up. No idea how true or close to true any of it is but it was interesting to read. As said before there are definitely a lot of accusations of the cops covering for somebody.

At the time of the murder, I lived about three miles as the crow flies away from the scene. I know murders happen all the time across the country but it was an unsettling feeling knowing the the killer was more than likely walking around freely throughout our smallish community.

The police haven't solved this one because they haven't found somebody they could pin it on and convict yet. No doubt they know who did it, IMO.
