I don't.

Ever since they went up on the tolls they can go frick themselves. That bridge was supposed to be paid off no less than three times over. A lot of people don't know this but they sold the causeway project on the tolls being temporary just like the Crescent City Connection. After the bond was paid off the tolls were supposed to end but like good Louisiana politicians they just kept diverting the money to other projects in Jefferson and Saint Tammany and the end result is, we will be stuck with these fricking tolls forever as they haven't paid off hardly anything of the original Bond. I would like to see people get fed up with it like they did with the Crescent City Connection and all out Mutiny until the tolls are gone but I seriously doubt that will happen because there is not heavy enough traffic flow therefore not enough people to make enough noise to make a change

Now they want more money and after that project is paid for you think the tolls are going to go back down to what they were? Of course not. They'll just continue to go up and up and up.

Now back to your original question. I crunched the fuel mileage cost and it's cheaper for me living on the North Shore to go to New Orleans from the East and then return back across the lake on the causeway and avoid the toll even though that's a slightly longer trip. It'll really depend on what kind of MPG your vehicle gets.
