Things like eating boiled shrimp, hamburger patties or large peices of steak have become difficult.

Seems like everything gets stuck at the bottom of my esophagus. When this happens I can't even drink water as it feels like I'm drowning. A few times I resorted to forcing myself to throw up to push the food sitting on top the esophagus ring up and out.

I never have acid reflux, stomach or esophagus pain.

Am I just not chewing my food or should I see a physician?

Edt: Thanks for all the advice and recommendations.

See a doctor. This is not normal.

Some of the shite you idiots decide to post on here instead of going to see an actual doctor is seriously mind boggling

You probably need to go to the doctor. My dad had a similar situation where he had to have his esophagus stretched out with a surgical procedure.

You just opened yourself up to a lot of crude jokes with that subject line.

Good Lord, this x 1000.

Why the frick would you not go see a doctor about this? It’s completely not normal to not be able to get food or water down.

Even if it’s just esophagitis or an ulcer, you need to get that shite checked out.

Half a bottle of whiskey should do the trick.

It started about 1year ago. Seems like the problem is becoming worse (increased frequency).

Have you thought about licking toilets so you could violently vomit? Maybe it shakes something loose...

I've thought about it.

The problem is so bad that I'm scared to eat some foods while home alone.

are you really this stupid, or did you get a perverse joy out of having others think that you are a total idiot?

My aunt has that same problem. I think she has a prescription that is supposed to help her, but doesn't do much good.
When we have a cookout she always has a problem. She can't swallow the steak properly or something.
She always wants her steak well done, that might be part of the problem?
