You said it was gonna turn right hard and make a Plaquemines landfall. I’m not going back to search for it, but come on bro

Looking forward to a late September-esque breeze later this week my good fellow. What fantastic July weather for sailing!

This will go out to sea. There’s almost no chance it makes its way into the Gulf

Not letting my guard down.
Been living in SE Louisiana all my life. Been though too many storms that had no chance of coming this way.

Looks like a trough comes down towards the middle of the week that pulls it north and out to sea. Now, that cold front is supposed to stall north of us (south louisiana) and by extension through florida, and pulls north. I suppose with the timing of the front, and how strong this system can get would determine whether and when it gets pulled away by the trough.

For the North Atlantic...Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico:

1. A trough of low pressure over the Central Bahamas is producing
disorganized showers and thunderstorms. Environmental
conditions are likely to be unfavorable for significant
development during the next couple of days while the trough moves
westward to west-northwestward at around 15 mph. Development is not
anticipated after that time due to strong upper-level winds.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...low...10 percent.
* Formation chance through 5 days...low...10 percent.
