I just checked out models. They are almost all in pretty much good agreement (at this time) that either this system or its remnants will make its way over Louisiana right before or during the opening of the Morganza. I can’t tell how much rainfall they’re indicating but it looks notable. Keep an eye out because this might get interesting.

The Old River Control Structure can’t take much more of this

In reality, it probably can. I bet the main concern (if we had a steady 30mph SE wind on top of widespread 8”-10” + rainfall) would actually be overtopping. I really think the main concern at that point would be overtopping of the levees.

Yep, I'm shocked that it wasn't said until page 2. I saw it right away, but was trying to be a lady lol

I refuse to believe we are already on our 13th Tropical Storm of the season.

Spend your time learning proper English and sentence structure instead of freaking the freak out.

The GFS is not showing this system anywhere close to LA and the Euro rainfall totals are only 2-3.

Well they were last night. Let me go check the GFS now.

Edit: yep, it’s almost gone from the GFS now. Even the overly aggressive future GFS doesn’t do much with it now. But go check out the Canadian (FWIW the Canadian is shite during hurricane season).

The Canadian is shite all the time and the gfs last night was only showing 1-2
The Euro yesterday afternoon was showing 2-8 but it was all in SW LA and would have no affect on the river

Tropicaltidbits.com has the major models as well as some of the more low to mid tier models.

I also follow stormcast for weather info as well. There are meteorologists from Louisiana who run that site and post info continuously during hurricane season.
