I’m moving from BR back to Nola on Friday. Is this thing bad enough that my movers cancel?

When is this thing supposed to turn north?

NHC Discussion:
“This system will move little today and tonight, and little if any development is expected during that time due to interaction with land. However, the broad disturbance should begin to move northward on Thursday, and a tropical depression is likely to form by late Thursday or on Friday when the low moves across the western Gulf of Mexico. “

Probably not. That's ~5" for BR, and it's spread over several days. The recent flash floods were ~10-15" over 6 hours.

Technically yea but I believe that’s simply the forecast period that they release each day. The bulk of that rain will probably fall Saturday and Sunday. Still should be very manageable though.

Not a bad idea to fix all of the surrounding states’ drainage.

Only if they cancel for rain. This morning's forecast by NHC is that it remains nothing more than a rain event

So now I don't have to bbq for Father's Day
I can just kick back and drink beer all day and let the wife cook?

Sounds like every one of my weekends.

Hows south central LA looking for this event? My neighborhood can't take more than 10-12 in a day.
