I thought Jimmy had all the main players executed?

but those DAs are getting some publicity.
All this. And the fact that the people of whatever county where that's happening sit back, and watch a freaking robbery trial as a form of entertainment is the very reason criminal justice is now an MF'ing industry instead of set of rules to deter and punish crime. And no one sees the damn money, power, and control grab as it continues. Everyone's happy as long as the games are there for their own entertainment. It's a combination of both sickening and heartbreaking.

Paul Vario, the character upon who Paulie is based, was a real monster who was,IRL, banging Henry Hill's wife.
I haven't heard this one. The version I heard was that Tommy D. tried to rape Karen and that Paulie used that as the premise to have Tommy clipped.

Um, come again?
The main three characters, Henry, Jimmy, and Tommy were all horrible people who deserved every bad thing that happened to them. Henry, in the end, turned out to be a rat, but he, nonetheless, was an absolutely rotten person. However, I bet Sandy would have been fun to party with!

Guys on his crew that worked the job with him - he killed all those guys (other than Henry, Tommy, his son, and Sepe). But, he didn't have the made guys - to whom he paid tribute - whacked. You get killed behind that stuff, baw.
(ETA: Apparently, Burke did have at least 1 made guy whacked - Paolo LiCastri. There is no equivalent character in Goodfellas, although LiCastri is depicted as Paolo Falcone in The Big Heist - which has the same source material as Goodfellas.)

I was very young but I still remember seeing those TV commercials.
Played Little League with a nephew in the Bonnano family. He was really cool....and nobody EVER fricked with him

I don't think he was a made man. Mainly just a "zip" Italian doing the Mafia's dirty work

Henry Hill was full of shite.

Obviously, we can't know for certain - he was in that group of illegal Sicilians who were brought over in the later decades of the U.S. Mafia, as native born baby boomer associates were deemed to be increasingly unreliable and susceptible to being flipped by the Feds.
However, this was another Gambino guy that got in the way of Jimmy Burke or Tommy Disimone's wrath. It is incredible that the Gambinos allowed Burke to die an old man in jail.

I remember reading an article about an old lady who got mugged and beaten very badly by a street thug in New York City. It turns out the lady was the mother of Vinny "The Chin" Gigante, a top dog in the Bonnano Crime Family. I bet that poor sap paid dearly for his crime.

Now the guy's got Paulie as a partner. Any problems, he goes to Paulie. Trouble with the bill? He can go to Paulie. Trouble with the cops, deliveries, Tommy, he can call Paulie. But now the guy's gotta come up with Paulie's money every week, no matter what. Business bad? frick you, pay me. Oh, you had a fire? frick you, pay me. Place got hit by lightning, huh? frick you, pay me.

Best case, he turned up in the hospital, worst case he turned up on the "Missing Persons" list.
They (Bonnano) owned a car dealership (Cadillac, Buick, Oldsmobile) down the road from me. Used it to launder $. My grandfather bought a Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme from them. God I miss my grandfather...

My god the commentary from Joe Pesci's character on that painting is hilarious! I think they ad-libbed that whole scene.

You'd think the statute of limitations would be in effect but I guess not...
