have you ever played a video game with an open map, but you aren't allowed to access a part of it yet? it's just like that

What if you know cheat codes? Or like in Nazi zombies can find the glitch to jump out of the map completely?

Are there checkpoints set up on 98 or 90 or is it just on I-10? If not the 30 minute detour may be worth looking into

We are headed to Pensacola Thursday. My aunt has a condo in Perdido Key and she said there wasn’t a checkpoint on 98 when they went to her condo last week. That’s the route I plan to take.

There is no reason to take a detour.

We went through last Thursday. EVERYONE exits I-10 and they funnel Louisiana plates to the right. You fill out a piece of paper. They literally do not care why you are there. Then you go on your way. No one checks on you. They do not tell you that you must self quarantine for 14 days. It’s all a dog and pony show. Renting a condo is your only issue and only if that was in your plans to begin with.

I already have a condo lined up in Pensacola. Just don't want any shite trying to get there or while I am there.

For when? This weekend?

If so - prepare to have your reservations canceled

You better check your reservation before leaving for Florida. My family owns a condo in Florida and I can confirm that they are not allowed to rent it out for Memorial day.

I’ve got a condo in perdido scheduled for Memorial Day weekend as well. I’ve spoken to the host and they don’t give a frick. At this point only the government SIMPs and Karen’s are actually cancelling reservations to cut their nose off to spite their face.

First - you might want to touch base with your rental company regarding the governor's current ordinance on vacation rentals

Second- have you ever been to Pensacola Beach on Memorial Day weekend? If not - yikes

Governor's ordinance will be in effect for Memorial Day weekend. Only people renting out condos are doing it on their own in violation of the ordinance and without their rental agency knowing. In some places like 30A the locals are ratting out the people doing this. Many of the locals don't want out of state people coming in right now.

I've had a condo booked in Navarre since Feb, they are keeping it and if for wheatver reason FL still closed for LA residents by June 28 they are giving me a full refund but I'm optimistic we will be able to go.

I'm not sure which Avenue that you're hosts rent their condo through, we rent ours through a rental agency and therefore can't "break the law" by renting despite the ordinance

I wish we could!

Go fear monger elsewhere. You are loving this hoax tightening its grip on civil liberties.

Thinking about a last minute trip to the beach for Memorial Day weekend. Can you travel to Florida from Baton Rouge unimpeded? I can’t imagine a checkpoint on I-10 but I guess they could pull you over if they see Louisiana plates.

If you make it what happens when you get there? Will they send you back inside the condo to self quarantine if they see you wearing an LSU hat and find out that you are from Louisiana.

I've notified the State police. Look out for a station wagon full of corn dogs.

My family has the same issue. If you use a rental agency they absolutely will not rent out the condo for you.
