You Cant stop at Bucce`s If you Fly.
12 or over im flying.
Same way here. People stress me out, and I like my space.

6 hour drive is my threshold.

I hate driving so I fly more often than not. When fully self driving cars become a reality I’ll take the car more probably.
And by self driving I mean little to no interaction from me other than telling it where to take me.

Drive time and trip duration. I drive 15 hours one way to hunt every year but im there for 3 weeks. I won't drive more than 7 or 8 if its a long weekend trip with the wife.

5 hours or less and I will drive.
5-7 hours depends on if I need a vehicle while I’m there, days staying, etc.
7-10 hours and I’m likely flying. But I might drive depending on the schedule, scenery, ease of drive.
>10 and I’m flying. I used to drive those kinds of distances without issue. At this point in my life I’d rather just fly and rent a car.

I hate flying. I'll drive for 2 days straight. Its pretty fun to see the landscape change.

I fly a lot for work and it’s a miserable experience now. That’s with high ranking United status.
If it’s less than 10 hours, I’d prefer to be on my own pace, not dealing with incompetence and the general public driving.

Did two trips this year that were both in the 18 to 20 hrs range, one way. I like to spend more time on the way some where to enjoy things along the way. Both trips, we intentionally didn't follow the main/fastest route.
Another perk to driving is that you can bring some extra things that you otherwise wouldn't. Not that I want to travel loaded down, but it depends on the trip.

Money, always money. I'd fly to Baton Rouge for LSU games if it wasn't about money.
Houston, Atlanta, Memphis...doesn't matter. If the budget allows for it, I am flying.

Business travel ruins people when you lack excitement or anticipation for the destination.

I am excited for my trip home while traveling for business

4 hours or no airport at destination. I will fly to BR or NOLA and rent a car but not to Austin which has an airport but under 3 hour drive. I live in Houston.

Oh for a second I thought this thread was about airline stewards now asking for tips.
Whew. That was a close one.

What ruins people are the completely incompetent gate agents, the trash that populates airports now, TSA agents with glorified GED educations, the whole parking/shuttle situation at IAH, and the general public being the most inefficient human beings to ever walk the planet earth. Add in the occasional flaming gay flight attendant with an attitude.
Less than 10 hours, give me a car and an open road.

Unless it's more than 12 hours, I'd prefer to drive. Fricke flying.

I agree 6-7
Drove to Omaha back couple months ago.
Too far.
Wasn’t bad on the way there bc we broke it up.
12.5 ride home was a little much.
