I second Action Transmission in Central. He’s at the corner of Dyer and Blackwater. Great people and great at what they do.

Make sure you get second opinions. I have a sequoia with 170k, one shop said a rebuild was needed for $4k. The other shop over the phone said it sounded like a solenoid, for $800. It ended up being two solenoids and he didn’t charge me for the 2nd one.

That’s for 2022-24 Toyotas retard. Everyone knows post 2021 Toyotas have had significant issues.

They've had plenty of other issues, that just the first one that pops up nowadays. Even when they were at their best, Toyota had issues on certain models.

I have a 2010 sequoia. It did the same thing at 320K miles. Never been serviced from day 1. I brought it to 2 different transmission places and 2 different Toyota dealerships( live in MS so of no help to you). All four told me needed a complete rebuild. i found a used one with about 25K miles on it and warranty on parts/replacement through 100k miles. Cost me a little over $3k in transmission and labor to swap out.

I asked about the flushes, refills, deletes, filter changes, etc. None of that would have helped me. I was told by all once reverse goes, its a replace or rebuild job.
