You're going to have to work on that spelling now that you're in the big leagues.

Tiger Manor apts are reasonable, I'm not sure I'd recommend them as first-choice but they should be on your list

Congrats and welcome to a legitimate college life.

LSU will be an entirely different (better) world for you. I've had some friends make the jump from ULL to LSU and they all never looked back, to say the least. The newest and most popular housing is along Ben Hur and that's where I'd recommend looking first.

So true.

Dont live near Ben Hur unless you like checkpoints, just saying.

That's really not true at all.

LSU is awesome, especially during football season. However, Lafayette is a much better city than Baton Rouge. I completely understand saying that LSU will be a better college experience though.

I would recommend you check the Southdowns area for housing if you have a couple of friends who need a roommate. I lived in a Southdowns house for 2 years and the location was amazing.

(Southdowns is the area of Lee dr. between Highland and Perkins.)

What's your major? How many credits do you plan on transferring? Are you in the middle of math or any other series classes like biology or chemistry?

School isn't all about night life. Not that it was for me, but bigger schools can be even lonelier places than small schools.

I've seen Tiger Manor already and plan to check out the other places mentioned

I made the transfer just like you. At LSU you will experience actual college life.

I lived at Tiger Manor when I attended LSU. It wasn't the greatest, but it was cheap and I could walk to campus.

Congrats on being a Tiger!

Welcome to college. I know some folks who couldn't get into LSU right away and went to BRCC and UL-Lafayette for a year. No shame in that.

Do you even know the entry requirements for the 2 schools? ULL is 2.5 gpa in the 19 core units with a 23 ACT score or 1050 SAT. LSU is 3.0 GPA in the 19 core units and a 22 ACT score or 1030 SAT. Neither school is very hard to get into or has anything to brag about with Education.

Anyways good luck to the guy on the transfer, you should have a great time at LSU.

Exactly. By reading some of these threads you'd swear that LSU was on the same level as Tulane.

My LSU degree was way harder, my opportunities for work was way better, and most importantly the competition was of higher quality than it would have been at Tulane ( in my specific field of study).

This is one of my pet peeves. When people assume that everyone should think the same way as them. Some people dont like or want that college experience. I totally get LSU has better campus life. But that's not on the top of everyone's list.
