I'm late to this party, but are you a biological man arguing with women that we shouldn't care if there are pre-op penis people in the bathroom or changing room with us?
As for transmen, once they pass as male they use the men's room, so we don't run into them in the ladies' room. If they don't pass as male, they just look like every other AFAB nonbinary person or GNC woman and nobody cares.

I honestly don’t know. I’ve known several gay couples with adult children and all their children are straight.
I’m friends with two brothers who are gay, from the same mom and dad. I’ve never seen another example before.
So yeah, it could happen.

I have seen it happen
maybe they were (kids) gay but the optics are bad
I have also seen (through my wife) parents decide their child is the wrong sex at age 2-3.
this is tragic on so many levels.

I get that your wife has come to terms with it and that there is an acceptance there. It sounds like she's an amazing, loving, forgiving person.
But, certainly you realize that you put her through something that nobody should ever go through. Her loved ones are going to rightfully react to that fact.
