This is a little off topic, but

You guys do realize you have to stop before making the right turn, right?

Yeah, most of us are aware. What amount of time do you have to wait between stopping and making the right turn? Because apparently making a full stop, checking to see if the way is clear, then making the turn is not enough time. At least according to the ticket I got.

probably about a second, I admitted to running the red light and paid my fine, Selma is a shithole and if that offends you, then maybe you should visit to big city of Demopolis to see a sprawling urban center.

Throw it in the trash! They cant enforce that crap, just another way to sucker the unsuspecting public to give them their hard earned money! I got one about 5 years ago, never heard a word and also got my license renewed last year and nothing. A ploy to take your hard earned money. I would not pay!

Drive your vehicle into the court room so it can defend itself.

Just depends on where you're located. In Texas, some of the counties will block your vehicle registration as a means to force you to pay them. My county doesn't so I have thrown all the notices in the trash.

I legitimately wasn't driving my car the day I got the ticket. I know who was but I have no obligation to make the city's case for them.

I got one driving my wife's van turning right from Corporate on to College. The printed evidence is poor and they rely on your assumption that it is accurate. We had to send a notarized affadavit stating my wife was not driving. They sent a notice to me with the same pictorial and video evidence for the

Fat fingers hit send...
Anyway the link to the video and still photos shows better details and that I turned right under the protection and permission of a green arrow. I told them this and requested a hearing.

If you go fight it, be ready to look foolish if you say you came to a complete stop. They pull the video up on big screen and have a timer on bottom of screen. When I went everyone was guilty( some more than others). By the way the judge let everyone off.

I would love to just trash them but then again I don't want to get a boot. I'm not sure how other cities punish those who don't pay the ticket but in Nola it's worth forking over the $110 in the first 30 days. The best way to avoid them is not to drive like a jackass, I learned my lesson now only if the lady would do the same.

I see a lot of people now with license plates with some crap painted over them.

I never understood what it was until I saw them at night.

in normal light its transparent and see through, although dingy, like looking through sunglasses, but when your headlights shine on it, it blacks out the number so they are unreadable with a headlight flashed on them or when you look at it at an angle like when the traffic cam up on the pole tries to take a picture of the plate number.

cant say how well it works against the cameras but the car I was following last night I couldn't read the numbers unless he went under a street light so something other then my headlights was lighting it up.

I am sure painting a masking agent over your plate numbers is illegal, but this info is FYI

Very cool. I'm going to look more into this and see how efficient it is.
