I received a ticket in the mail the other day for not coming to a complete stop at a red light before turning right.

Anyone ever not pay one of these, if so what happened? Did you take it to court to dispute?

Holy shite. That gif.

I just got a letter from a lawyer the other day about mine. Asked them to show me record of the debt. Will see where it goes and report back

What city? I routinely see booted cars around New orleans for failure to pay tickets.

first, funny gif right der

second, how much is the ticket worth. In lafayette, they are 25$, you might as well pay it. it's only $25. who cares. that's a nice lunch somewhere. fast one day and you have the ticket paid off.

I do agree that they are unconstitutional. but is it worth 25$ to sit and fight it?

I would think that after one, you'd sort of learn to come to a complete stop there. And definitely after the second one, but then there one where I live that I've gotten like 4 or 5, but in my defense, they weren't all from the same direction.

That's for "speeding", red light tickets are $125.00. Throw the shite in the trash. When they call ask them to validate the debt.

Was only $50 just read that they go on your record. I assume 1 wouldn't cause any hikes in insurance rates.

Yea. My liberty is worth more than the hassle.

Does the letter have a tracking number? Did you have to sign for it? What if it got lost in the mail and never made it to you address? What if you moved and it went to your old address, and that person threw it away?

Urban legend. It's against state law and NOTHING is reported to DMV.

Dont pay it, it is a sham. They have to prove you were guilty. They don't even send them certified, so you can say you never recieved it. And the list goes on and on from there of ways to stop them.

There was a thread on here a while back that has a letter you can use to send to them demanding certain evidence from them that they can't produce.

It is illegal to charge you with a traffic violation and not give you your day in court. Plus, they are NOT a public entity and not part of our police system (yet).

Judges all over are ordering them turned off.

Those are for parking tickets, I have yet to see or hear someone booted for not paying a traffic camera ticket.

These things still exist because people keep paying the optional fines.
