Do what now?

This comment has me cracking up lol. I read it and immediately thought of Chief Gillespie and Tibbs having a shootout with these guys at the abandoned mine on the edge of Sparta.
Yes! Complete with a scenario where they shoot at the getaway car and somehow it does a flying rollover onto it roof, then the dazed occupants warily exit the car and into handcuffs.

Pretty stupid too. You aren’t a cop, shooting a vehicle full of shoplifters is the same legally at shooting at school bus full of children. Why are you worried at all that someone ripped off the Tractor Supply, they have insurance. Take pictures and get license plate bro and let the police go arrest them.
It wasn't "full" of shoplifters. It had two occupants.
Shooting up a school bus full of children vs shooting at two grown men does not meet the same definition legally in even the most clown fantasy world you seem to be living in. And this doesn't even take into account how a jury of their peers in Theodore AL would interpret the law.
I dont think anyone was "worried" that someone ripped off the Tractor Supply. Why be worried when you are armed?
And before you assume I am some random gun nut, I occasionally carry one on road trips only. But even if I had mine on me at the time, I am not firing at a couple of meth heads. I would however be the best witness in their defense that has ever taken a fricking witness stand.

What if I’m not stealing and dude misses and my kid hits the floor with a bullet through the head? Should I worry then?
That's a damn nice Tractor Supply if Uncle Ebony and Ivory were shot at while driving away on the finished floor of the parking lot.
But I will play along with you. Yes, if this had happened inside a store full of people, or put innocent people at risk, the shooter is an idiot. Neither I nor you know the circumstances of the situation but we can assume since shots were fired at a vehicle, it didn't take place indoors.

I've seen this happen. Guy stole a bunch of chainsaws. Brand new dodge ram 4 door pickup. No license plate on it.

Hell yeah, brother!
